BERNE, Switzerland, Jan 28 (Reuters) – Indonesia have put themselves forward as surprise bidders for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup, FIFA said on Wednesday.

The proposal from the Indonesian FA is one of six already received by FIFA ahead of Monday’s deadline, a spokesman for soccer’s world governing body said.

England, Japan, Qatar, Russia and a joint application from Spain and Portugal are the other formal expressions of interest already on the table.

Several other countries, including Australia, China, Mexico, plus the Netherlands and Belgium jointly, have told local media they will join the race before the deadline passes.

World soccer’s governing body decided in 2007 to adapt its continental rotation policy, announcing that future World Cups could not be staged in any continent that had hosted one of the two previous World Cups.

If Indonesia’s expression of interest develops into a full bid, it could be in direct competition with fellow Asian football confederation members Japan and Australia.

A similarly tight internal battle is expected in Europe if England, Russia, Spain/Portugal and Netherlands/Belgium all confirm their bidding interests.

FIFA is due to announce the hosts of both the 2018 and 2022 tournaments in December 2010.

An interesting book my parents gave me for last Christmas, entitled “The Enzyme Factor” – Diet for the Future that prevent heart disease, cure cancer, stop type 2 diabetes, etc.

Dr. Hiromi Shinya MD, a professor from Japan wrote this book. It also talks about interesting facts such as why sick people should not be fed with rice porridge and why milk is bad. This surprises me as I remember all the “Got Milk?” ads/campaign in recent years, promoting that milk is good for us where in actuality it is the most difficult ‘food’ to digest.

As some of you might know, crunchyroll.com took away ‘user-upload videos’ feature and moved into ‘licensed-legal streaming’ feature, provided directly by the licensors. The famous Naruto Shippuuden will be aired at crunchyroll.com just one hour after it shows in Japan in HD (for those that are willing to pay $7 a month). The HD quality will be available for free 1 week after it airs in Japan.

But what I’m concerned here is not the animes. It’s the dramas and movies in general. This change was carried out by deleting ALL user-uploaded dramas, movies, and music vids. I understand what the admin of the site, shinji, is trying to do. He wants to support legal stuff. But crap..! Crunchyroll was probably the only site where we could watch a whole lot of asian dramas and movies for free. Now that it’s been taken down, those that go to crunchyroll more for dramas than animes have no idea where to go.

I wanted to congratulate shinji, for the hard work he’s done getting the permission to stream licensed animes. But I wish you hear the thoughts of people who goes to your site in search for dramas, not animes (like me). Even if you want to upload legalized dramas straight from the licensor, what are the chances of that happening? Lots of dramas that were available on crunchyroll were old and completed, and some of them were really good such as One Litre of Tears, Great Teacher Onizuka, Attention Please, Proposal Daisakusen, and many more. I don’t know if this 2009 revolution of yours will bring more or less users to your site. It’ll certainly bring in more anime-watchers since anime fansubbers will start to drop their projects, but unsure about the drama-watchers. You might want to consider that. There’s a good chance this bunch of people will go away in search of other sites that provide asian drama streams, which in turn could lead to decreasing people coming to the site. Surely, you don’t want that to happen. The last thing a website needs is a decreasing number of traffic. Believe me, I’ve been there and it sucks.

There’s also a problem with region blocks, that some countries aren’t able to watch the vids @ crunchyroll. Don’t you think if you didn’t take away user-upload feature, we wouldn’t have such a problem?
I have a feeling you don’t care about the customers (in this case, the # of people going to your website) shinji. Even Facebook is reverting back to its old layout after knowing that a whole lot of users left because the new layout sucks.

So, even though I like the new legal anime HD-stream approach, I think you made a bad decision by taking down all user-uploaded videos (especially the dramas). Why not just take them down when and only if the legal versions are available? If there are no legal versions available, there’s nothing wrong keeping them there, isn’t it? And you do know very well that getting legal versions of the dramas/movies is almost impossible to happen.

IceFrog revealed a new interesting change for version 6.58. One aspect of the new map is the remake of Storm Spirit. Details are not out yet but IceFrog did post some pictures of the new SS in action.

The internet is full of thieves and hypocrites. Be very careful, only put down personal information such as credit card numbers on trusted sites. I came across this site one day: FreelanceHomeWriters.
That site basically offers cash for writing and posting comments in blogs. They said they’ll ‘pay’ us between $10-$50 dollars per article typed. That’s a lot for freelance writers. It said also in order to get paid, we have to register with the site. And to register, we have to pay $2, a one-time payment with our credit card.

And many people got fooled by this. Here’s a link to people that actually tried it: Click Here. They were all complaining.

Funnily enough, the first FAQ from this get-paid-to-write site states:

How do I know this isn’t a scam?
Answer: Absolutely not! We wouldn’t be able to do business online very long if we were only here to blindly take your money and leave you high and dry. We’ve been online for nearly 6 years now and are very proud to be legit!

Be careful, never type your personal information on untrusted sites.

You guys know that annoying 90 mins/300 mins of waiting after downloading some hundred mb files from MegaUpload (MU)? Here’s an easy way to bypass it. I found the way to bypass it while I was downloading anime since the other direct dl servers are crap. (actually anime-eden.com (a good anime download site) is quite okay, but MU still provides better speed).

I’ve tried this way myself, it works perfectly for me.

1. Open the download link to MU.
2. Type in the confirmation code, and wait until 45 sec has passed.
3. When the “Free Download” link appears, DO NOT CLICK IT. Instead, right click it and choose “Copy Link Location” (I use Firefox, IE/Opera/Chrome users might have different options).
4. Go to an IP hider website, I recommend hidemyass.com.
5. Paste your link, then before clicking ‘hide my ass’, just make sure Firefox asks you where to save download files. You can change this (for Firefox) in Tools>Options>Main tab>check Ask me where to save files.
6. Then click ‘hide my ass’.
7. When prompted where to save your file, save it wherever you like, but rename your file from ‘index.php’ to whatever you are downloading with the appropriate extension format. Say you’re downloading a zip file, then rename ‘index.php’ to ‘blablabla.zip’.
8. Last step, if it doesn’t work anymore, refresh the hidemyass.com webpage.

I do not know if this works with Rapidshare or other web hosting files, but it doesnt hurt to try..
